No, mobile-pocket can be used anonymously. The registration is a service that helps you in restoring all your personal cards in case of lost devices, reinstallment or changing mobile device. The registration is also completely safe in terms of data security guidelines!
Also, some of our Premium Partners hold the option to deliver you a personalized loyalty card in case you are a registered user and customer of one of the companies.
No problem, if you are a registered user. Click the button "options" in your mobile-pocket application and use the provided options for "new cell phone number", "new installation" or "PIN request" to change your cell phone number, recover your cards or get a new PIN code. When accomplished, all your cards will be reloaded to your mobile device.
To be able to access the full feature range of mobile-pocket an active data connection has to be available. The occurring costs depend on your contract and carrier. Please ask your provider for detailed information.
But, without a data connection, all pre-loaded cards and items on the watch list are also available offline. This feature will also be interesting for all our iPod users.
mobile-pocket offers you two options to enter the barcode number on to your device, by scanning or typing.
To enable the scanner functionality, we have integrated a barcode scanner. This option not only scans the number but also selects the right barcode type.
In case of an individual card that can't be found in our provided list, the barcode number has to be typed manually and you have to select the right type of barcode. Please compare the provided barcode types with the one printed on your card.
We put a lot of effort into expanding our supported list and you are very welcome to support us actively.
In case the requested retailer or card provider is not listed, choose the option "other retailer" at the bottom of the list and name the card the way you would like to see it on your device. We would also be very pleased if you send us your requested retailer so that we have the chance to broaden our service!
In general most cards, that use barcodes for identification, can be displayed in mobile-pocket. Direct scanning from phone displays is possible with almost all CCD-barcode scanners.
But there may be some laser type scanners, which face technical restrictions which lead to an unreadable Smartphone display. In that case we recommend asking for an optional Hand scanner, because they usually feature CCD-technology.
Despite careful testing, we cannot guarantee that scanning your phone's display will work out without any difficulty. We ask for your understanding and patience to let your number be typed manually into the retailers systems.
Hold your display steady and in an interval between 2cm to 5 cm away from the scanner. If the code displayed is too small, tap on the code once with your finger and a full screen version will emerge. One fingertip on the barcode will bring you back to the regular view.
The store locator is a service provided to our premium partners and shows you all stores in your area based on your current location. You can either use the integrated GPS module of your mobile device (if available) or manually type in your city or ZIP code.
mobile-pocket automatically uses your standard language set in your device. Offers, coupons and more information are provided in the language used on part of the retailer.
