Share and restore your cards with the “Account feature”

We proudly present: the mobile-pocket account with following incredible function: To store every single loyalty card for all ages! No matter if the smartphone gives up its function, gets lost or is stolen. Of course we do not hope that any of these mentioned scenarios occur but definitely, such a backup can calm the nerves tremendously.

This feature might seem familiar to some since a basic version was already integrated under the name “CardSync”. Here we have summarized the most important questions and answers about the new, improved account-function for you:

How does the „Account feature“ work? Is a registration necessary and how can I use this feature?

Android: Open mobile-pocket, tap the symbol with the 3 lines in the upper left corner and go to “Login”.

The registration is a service that helps you restore all your loyalty cards in case of a lost devices, reinstallment or changing your mobile device. Of course, the registration is completely safe in terms of data security guidelines.

The „Account feature“ (formerly known as „CardSync“) helps you to create your own card account. Your cards can be saved via the following options:

via a mobile-pocket Account (registration with an email-address)

via your Facebook account

via your Google+ account

 

 

 

 

The “Account feature” has been around a long time in the app but it was called “CardSync” earlier. What’s new is that since mobile-pocket version 4.5. you are now able to login via a social media account (Facebook or Google+).

If the cards are lost for whatever reason, you simplyneed to login with your correct login data and your cards are back in the app in an instant.

With this function, your card account can not only berestored but also be shared. That means, you can login on multiple devices at the same time with the same account and you can, for example, use one set of cards for the whole family.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to use the very same login data! For example, if a new Password is requested on one device, it must be updated on all other devices as well.

 

I am not sure if and where I have saved my cards?

In this case, please turn directly to our support team which can help you quickly in such a case.

Send us an email to contact@mobile-pocket.com with the following content:

  • All possible email-addresses and phone numbers that you may have created a mobile-pocket Account with.
  • If possible, please also send us 3-4 barcode numbers and names of cards you could have saved in mobile-pocket.

Our team will take care of your request and will search for your cards.

 

Why are my cards not restored after logging in?

When the synchronization is completed and the cards are not showing up, in 99% of the cases the wrong login data has been used.

Originally, it was onlypossible to create an account with a mobile phone number, now you are only able to do so with an email-address. For this reason confusion often occurs, because even if the registration is onlypossible through an email-address, restoring cards with the mobile phone number still works. This means: There are other rules for the registration than for resoring the cards.

How can I change my login data?

Currently, you as a user can do that only partially. You can change your password anytime yourself. The username – your email-address – cannot be changed by you. However, our support team will be happy to help you with that – provided you have a “mobile-pocket Account”. Then we are able to change your login data from a mobile phone number or an email-address to a new email-address.

Please send uns an email with your old login data and your desired new login email-address to contact@mobile-pocket.com.

IMPORTANT: It is not possible to change a “mobile-pocket Account” to a Facebook or Google+ account.

 

How can I share cards?

Currently, there is no function inside the app that allows you to share a single stored card with another mobile-pocket user. The share function in the cards overview simply allows you to tell your friends that you now use mobile-pocket and that you have already stored those cards in the cards overview.

With the “Account feature” you can use your entire card set on several devices at the same time.

I would like to synchronize my cards from MyPocket in mobile-pocket. How can I do this?

Since both apps are made by us, they have the same structure, of course. To transfer cards from MyPocket to mobile-pocket, go to mobile-pocket – “Account” – “mobile-pocket Account” and enter your CardSync login-data here. Easier said: CardSync = mobile-pocket Account.
